Times are tough but many artists are generous souls especially when it comes to our health and well being. ALL PROCEEDS of this exhibition are being donated to the 'Wellness Centre' BRICC currently under construction at Ballarat Health Services. This promises to be a great opportunity to acquire high quality investment artworks while also contributing to a very worthy cause. Solo artist Xersa is a Dobell Prize finalist and Internationally exhibited artist living in Ballarat. She shares her love of nature in her artwork, featuring the birdlife of Lake Wendouree and their ability to adapt to climactic changes. Featured artist leni also lives in Ballarat and is a Wotjabaluk woman who was adopted into a non-indigenous family in the Wimmera and educated during her secondary school years in Ballarat. Leni's paintings are strongly inspired by her cross cultural heritage and incorporating elements of her past and present. Raffle tickets to support this fundraiser are now available from Gallery on Sturt, Ballarat Heath Services and selected retail outlets. 1st prize pool $500, 2nd prize pool $300, 3rd prize pool $150. |
