Gallery Details: - Leni is a Wotjobaluk woman who was born in 1968, adopted into a non-indigenous farming family and raised in the Wimmera. She was reunited with her natural mother and extended family at the age of 17. Since forever she has expressed her creativity through writing and began painting with a passion only recently in 2007. Leni believes her art is inspired strongly by her cross- cultural heritage, her constant journey of learning, and tales of traditional past fused with a stylised present. All works are acrylic on canvas.
One of leni's works was auctioned in October 10 at a luncheon with the Governor General Ms Quentin Bryuce. This art auction was a fundraiser for indigenous communities in outback Australia.
