'RICHARD MORRELL Glass Artist '
The bowl form is central to Richard's glasswork and has been a constant point of reference in his work for some thirty years. Richard techniques incorporate the spin casting processes that he has developed and the hot poured kiln castings for which he is perhaps best known. After casting the glass into an individually prepared mould the piece is slowly cooled to remove any stress, a process known as annealing, which may take several weeks. Each piece is a unique composition in texture, tone, transparency, colour and most importantly, light; the unique element of glass art. Richard's 'Earth Pattern IV' is included in the National Gallery of Victoria collection.

John Brack lithographs. Nude 10

John Brack (1920-1999) was one of Australia's most outstanding artists, an expert at capturing the human condition. His acute readings of modern life were also present in his studio nudes, with their recognisable and distinctive style. These lithographs are unsigned but there is no doubt as to their authenticity. They are from unfolded, double spread lithographs for the book "John Brack Nudes', before they were bound and published. In forensic terms these lithographs are equally as good as the artist's signature and are very rare by comparison to the book and signed edition of fifty proofs of each image that were sold by the artist.
