The Sound-n-Dry® storage unit is a dry-aid kit for hearing aids. Sound-n-Dry®was developed by Alkera Plus and is endorsed by Widex Australia Pty Ltd. This product can be used to remove residual moisture from hearing aids and cochlear implant speech processors. Moisture can effect the delicate internal electronic circuitry of the hearing aid and can reduce performance of the hearing aids/speech processor and shorten battery life. Build up of moisture can occur as a result of normal wearing conditions however it may be more apparent in warm, humid climates, after sporting activities or if you get caught in the rain!

Sound-n-Dry® includes a dessicant that removes moisture. This dessicant can be rehydrated in a domestic oven to prolong it's useful life, making it economical to use. The unit is suitable for both ‘behind-the-ear’ and ‘in-the-ear’ hearing aids. It can be used to store hearing aids safely whenever they are not being worn, such as overnight. The unit is large enough to store two hearing aids and is also suitable for storing cochlear implant speech processors.
